There are certain childhood places that never really leave you. Build-A-Bear is one of them. That wasn’t just a store. That was an event. You didn’t just walk in and grab something off a shelf. You picked it, stuffed it, named it, and walked out like you had just made a friend for life.

And now… It’s coming to Walmart.

Build-A-Bear is expanding into around 1,500 Walmart stores nationwide. Which feels very different from the mall days. But you may soon see one at a Montana Walmart location.

From Birthday Bash to Walmart Aisle Adventure

Back in the day, going to Build-A-Bear usually meant you were celebrating something. A birthday, a special trip, or convincing your parents that this was absolutely necessary.

Now imagine that same brand showing up between the laundry detergent and a pallet of bulk snacks.

It won’t be the full “ring the bell and stuff it yourself” experience, but it will bring that same brand and those stuffed animals into a place most people are already going anyway. Which is either a stroke of genius… or dangerous.

Walmart Trips Are About to Get Much Longer

Let’s be honest, no one goes into Walmart and gets out quickly. You go in for one thing, get distracted by five more, and suddenly you’re halfway across the store, wondering why you’re even in the toy aisle. Now throw Build-A-Bear into the mix, and you’ve got zero chance of getting out in under an hour.

Montana Could Be Getting One Soon

With Build-A-Bear expanding into about 1,500 Walmart locations across the country, it’s not a stretch to think Montana stores could be part of that rollout. And if that happens, you won’t need a special trip to the mall anymore. It’ll just be sitting there… waiting for you… during a normal grocery run.

That’s exactly how budgets get wrecked.
