Authorities say a 33-year-old Wendell man believed kidnapped from his home two weeks ago by four armed men is now back home unharmed and in good spirits.

Though details of his return remain somewhat of a mystery.

The Gooding County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that Ramon Enrique Lizarraga-Felix was dropped off at an unknown location Monday night, walked to a friend's house and called his family.

Deputies interviewed the man about the apparent abduction. He told investigators he was blindfolded, bound at the ankles and wrists and kept in a dark room. He did not provide details about captors or where he was kept.

Sheriff Shaun Gough also says Lizarraga-Felix was returned after his family paid an undisclosed ransom.

Police began investigating on Dec. 6 after family reported him missing.
