House Fire Near Florence

Missoula Rural Fire responded to a structure fire Monday night just after 11 in a residence on Lamar Trail between Lolo and Florence. MRF reported the home to be well involved in the fire with high winds contributing to the spread of the flames. The occupant was able to evacuate the premises and no one was injured in the incident. Fire investigators continue to look into the cause of the blaze. It was reported that the residence DID NOT have smoke alarms and MRF would like to remind the public to have working alarms installed and to have them checked regularly.
