October is domestic violence awareness month. The University of Montana grizzlies and Verizon Wireless have teamed up to invite fans to go green and help curb domestic violence in the community. Media relations manager for Verizon, Bob Kelley says griz fans are encouraged to donate their used wireless phones to the verizon wireless hopeline phone recycling program. ( My interview with Kelley it attached below) The Hopeline program is in its 16th year.

Phones can be dropped off at the hopeline box in the Verizon Wireless store at the university center during the game or at any Verizon Wireless store throughout the year.
