Campaign finance reports show former congressman Rick Hill has raised $87,872 over the past three months in his bid for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2012.

As the Tuesday evening deadline passed to file reports with the Commissioner of Political Practices, Hill was leading a crowded group of GOP candidates in fundraising 11 months before the June 5 primary.

Others include former state senators Ken Miller of Laurel and Corey Stapleton of Billings, along with security consultant Neil Livingstone.

For the Democrats, state Sen. Dave Wanzenried of Missoula reported raising $13,816 for the quarter. He and state Sen. Larry Jent of Bozeman are the only two announced Democratic candidates for governor.

Democratic Attorney General Steve Bullock has not said whether he will run for re-election or for governor.
