The Montana legislature has mandated new immunization requirements for school children. In order to help students receive the immunization, the Missoula City-County Health Department outpatient clinic is offering extended hours and a Saturday clinic.

Missoula City-County Health Officer Ellen Leahy said, "Montana is many years behind other states in requiring these vaccines and that is why so many children who would have received these shots in stages over their school years are needing to get up to speed at once. Despite that difficulty, the vast majority of students have received their shots and this month is the last push."

The walk-in clinic is open regularly from 9-4:30 Monday through Friday with the exception of Wednesday when they open at 10 am. In addition to regular clinic hours, the Health Department has the following special clinics scheduled:

Monday, November 2nd from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, November 9th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, November 12th from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Friday, November 13th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 14th by appointment only, Call 258-INFO.
