After winning the Class A boys' state golf championship a year ago, the Hamilton Broncs showed they're ready to defend their title yesterday.

The season-opening Anaconda Invitational gave the Broncs a chance to compete against other Class A teams like Dillon, Butte Central, Livingston and Frenchtown.

And once again, the Bronc boys found themselves in familiar territory when the tournament ended.

Hamilton won by 20 strokes over 2nd-place Whitefish, and are currently competing at the two-day Missoula County Public Schools Invitational today and tomorrow.
