The University Of Montana sent four indoor Track and Field athletes to compete at the Montana State Combined Events Invitational Heptathlon on Tuesday and Wednesday. Austin Emry finished third and freshman Terrell Boyes placed fifth. Emry came in just off his career best with 5,093 points. Boyes posted a mark in all seven events and totaled 4,486 points. Fellow freshman Tyler Spalding failed to record a height in the pole vault but finished out the day and placed sixth with 3,629 points. Junior Keith Webber also competed in the Heptathlon.
Montana State's Jeff Mohl and Asa Staven, two of the Big Sky Conference's best multi-event athletes, finished first and second with 5,521 and 5,445 points. Mohl's score would have won the Big Sky heptathlon championship last winter by 65 points.
