A 54-year-old man who graduated from an impaired driving treatment court has been sentenced to four years in prison for a 10th DUI conviction.

Yellowstone County District Court Judge Ingrid Gustafson handed down the sentence Friday to Ray Alan Roma in Billings.

The Billings Gazette reports that the sentence included a $1,000 fine and was part of a plea agreement that included two misdemeanors being dismissed.

Prosecutors have said that Roma had three previous DUI convictions in Minnesota and six DUI convictions in Montana.

Gustafson noted that Roma has graduated from an impaired driving treatment court, saying he was lucky not to have killed himself or somebody else.
