The Veterans' Administration at Fort Harrison is re-starting a support group for women veterans who have been raped or sexually assaulted.

VA spokesman Shawn Garcia said Thursday the Military Sexual Trauma Courage Group will begin a 12-week course beginning on Jan. 26.

Garcia says the group will help victims work through anger, trust, self-esteem and relationship challenges.

There hasn't been a military sexual trauma group at Fort Harrison for about two years. Army veteran Carole Kiley says she has pressured VA administrators since then to re-start the program.

Kiley served at Fort Riley, Kansas and in Germany from 1977 to 1981. She says the program will not be only for veterans of her generation, but for women returning from Afghanistan and the Middle East.
