First Night Missoula Event Will Take Place On New Year’s Eve
Arts Missoula is holding their First Night Missoula event on New Year’s Eve. Executive Director Tom Bensen says people of all ages can attend many different events they have planned.
“There are 80 different events and activities going on from noon until midnight,” said Bensen. “The best thing to do is to check out website which is artsmissoula.org and you can look at the schedule and figure out where you can buy an admission button. There are lots of new events going on. We have parking meter art. There are lots of old parking meters in town and you can turn them into art at the University Center on New Year’s Eve.”
According to Bensen, there is a big finale every year that takes place at the University of Montana.
“We finish off at the University Center with the Ed Norton Big Band playing classic Big Band Glen Miller music to ring in the New Year,” Bensen said. “If you are more interested in something a little alternative, The Drum Brothers are also ushering in the new year in the commons, one floor below in the University Center. That is where we ring in the New Year every year.”
Admission buttons currently cost $15, but the price will increase to $18 on the day of the event.
