Elk Will Be Moving On
The Mount Jumbo North Zone closes during the winter months to protect the elk habitat in the area. Director of Missoula Parks and Recreation , Donna Gaukler says the elk were pretty constant all winter in that area. As we enter into the spring season the elk are slowly moving north. Gaukler says the area will soon be open for recreational use.
Gaukler reminds pet owners to respect conservation lands, private property near by and other park visitors by controlling their dogs at all times and removing their pet’s waste.
