Between 2007 and 2009, almost 1,500  Montana students were suspended for bullying, with cell phones and computers having created an entirely new avenue for targeting victims. In the state senate, the schools are for education act, known as SAFE, is before the senate education committee, supported by Attorney General Steve bullock and Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau.

 The committee will vote on the SAFE act next week.
