The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has released the Bitterroot Temperature and Tributary Sediment Total Maximum Daily Loads and framework water quality improvement plan. A TDML is a  plan to attain and maintain water quality standards in waters that are not meeting their standards. The DEQ is seeking comments on the plan. A public informational meeting and open house will be held Thursday May 5th , at Hamilton’s City Hall. DEQ staff will provide information about the document and answer any questions. DEQ Public Affairs Coordinator Lisa Peterson explains.
