Decker Truck Line Incorporated Closes Missoula Terminal
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - In a letter dated January 14, 2025, Decker Truck Line announced the closure of their terminal in Missoula.
I reached out to the Decker Corporate offices and received the following comment:
“Due to an ever-changing freight network and targeted growth areas in other regions of the country, Decker Truck Line’s traffic volume through the Missoula, MT area no longer requires a remote terminal.”
Decker Truck Line has Closed its Terminal in Missoula
Why is this announcement from Decker Truck Lines important to Missoula?
The closure of the Decker Truck Line terminal will deal a bitter blow to the Z-100 Annual Guerrilla Turkey Drive, which has helped to provide needy families with Thanksgiving turkeys for over a decade.
Decker Played an Important Role in Z-100's Guerrilla Turkey Drive
Chris Wolfe, morning personality on Z-100 told KGVO News that the Decker Truck line played an integral role in making the annual Thanksgiving Guerrilla Turkey Drive such an amazing success.
Decker, along with dozens of volunteers and other community agencies, was instrumental in the campaign, as they provided and funded a refrigerated truck to store the turkeys donated during the annual food drive that benefitted the Missoula Food Bank, the Mineral County Food Bank, and the Darby Bread Box.
The Generous Decker Contribution Will be Sorely Missed in Missoula
Z-100, Townsquare Media, and the entire community are thankful to Decker Truck Line in their generous support over the years to help feed hungry families over the holidays.
They will be sorely missed.
