Police Chase Down Suspects at Missoula Trailer Park
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 6, 2025, at 6:49 p.m., a female called 911 reporting a suspected trespassing at a trailer in the Hollywood Trailer Court. She informed dispatch that two individuals were inside the trailer, despite all individuals being evicted from the trailer earlier that day.
A Missoula Police Department officer arrived on the scene at 6:57 p.m. and observed four individuals near the rear of the trailer. Upon inspection, an officer recognized 33-year-old Jaray Syring from previous encounters. Syring was crouched over a tan and green backpack in front of him.
When the officer identified himself, all four individuals jumped the fence on the south side of the trailer and fled southbound. Syring took the backpack with him. The officer proceeded around the trailer, where a resident waved him down, reporting that he had seen the four individuals enter an abandoned trailer. Backup officers arrived and they surrounded the trailer, calling for the individuals to exit. All four individuals, including Syring, complied and sat down on the curb.

Officers Searched the Trailer
Officers entered the seemingly abandoned trailer and conducted a search to ensure no one else was inside. During the search, an officer discovered the backpack that Syring had been carrying was hidden inside a closet in the back bedroom. The officer asked the individuals if they claimed any property from the trailer, and they all denied ownership. Then the officer brought Syring’s backpack outside and again asked if anyone claimed the backpack.
Because all the individuals declined, the officers considered it abandoned property and proceeded to search the bag. The search revealed one small Ziploc-style baggie of fentanyl, one prescription pill bottle labeled and prescribed to Syring, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
