Can You Eat and Drink Your Pain Away?
It seems we always hear about how bad foods are for us. It’s hard to find anything that tastes good and is good for you. It’s usually one or the other. What if there were foods that not only tasted good, but also helped to relieve pain? What if you didn’t have to pop a pill or two every day to help with that headache or that arthritis? What if you could just add a few simple and delicious foods to your diet? Wouldn’t it be worth a try?
Beer
This will probably be no surprise to most Missoulians. Moderate drinkers have a lower risk of being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This is just another reason to enjoy a great local brew regularly.

the compound oleocanthal, that gives olive oil its taste is also thought to have the same effect on the body as aspirin. Olive oil is also one of the healthiest oils you can use to cook with.

These are my favorite possible pain killers, much to my husband’s disappointment. Onions are chock full of phytochemicals that are thought to reduce inflammation.

Anthocyanins, which give these berries their vibrant colors, are a phytochemical that can help stop inflammation in its tracks. This is all second to the fact that they are delicious.

It seems that a vegetarian diet can help fight joint pain and joint swelling. This is just another reason why your mother was right when she told you to eat your vegetables.
