Lewis and Clark County officials say a Lincoln man was shot and injured during an alcohol-fueled argument at a campground northwest of Lincoln.

Brian Henderson of Lincoln was charged with felony assault with a weapon Monday, but the investigation continues against the suspected triggerman, who claimed self-defense.

Sheriff Leo Dutton says Henderson and 30-year-old Max Corrigan argued Sunday night after Henderson tried to kiss Corrigan's girlfriend. Prosecutors say Henderson threatened to shoot Corrigan.

Investigators say while Corrigan and his girlfriend were leaving, Henderson started walking toward the car with a rifle.

Prosecutors say Corrigan got out and was wrestling with Henderson when a 51-year-old man grabbed the rifle and shot Corrigan. The suspected shooter was arrested, but released after claiming he fired in self-defense.

Corrigan was hospitalized in good condition.
