Cabela’s Missoula Grand Opening Tomorrow, Lines of People Await
.22 shells are a hot ticket item sought after in Cabela's grand opening tomorrow. So hot that customers have been lined up, and even camping outside Cabela's doors since Tuesday!
KGVO's own Jon King in addition to Mike from KGVO's sister station KYSS made sure to make an appearance and see what all the fuss was about.
Cabela's Communications Specialist Nathan Borowski said the excitement has already started. Borowski said the first customer was lined up on Tuesday and the tents started popping up Wednesday afternoon.
"We'll open our doors tomorrow at 11 a.m. and we'll begin a kickoff ceremony at 10:45 a.m.," Borowski said. "Anybody that drives by the store can see that customers are already lining up. The excitement has already started! We expect hundreds if not thousands. Customers are already camping out, so that's a pretty good sign that they think it'll be a pretty good turnout. It's just great to see that local customers are as excited to get this store open as we are."
Borowski said doors are set to open Thursday, June 12 at 11 a.m., but other fun events are set to start a little earlier:
"We'll kick off crowd interaction around 8 a.m.," Borowski said. "We'll have a DJ there playing music, an emcee doing some trivia games and some giveaways throughout the morning. The first 500 customers through the door will receive a Cabela's gift card valued anywhere between $5 and $250. There will also be some special appearances and more giveaways throughout the entire weekend."
Borowski said the fun should continue all weekend long.
