On Sunday afternoon it was brother vs. brother after one claimed his brother pointed a gun at him during a dispute.

Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains what happened on Sunday afternoon.

“At about 1:00 p.m. on Sunday Missoula police were called out to a home on Benton Avenue after a disturbance was reported,” said Welsh. “The person who called police reported that he had been in an argument with one of his brothers and his brother pointed a gun at him before leaving the house.”

Welsh described what happened after police arrived at the home.

“The officers arrived and made contact with the victim,” he said. “They also observed another man in an adjacent alley. They contacted the other man and identified him as the suspect that had been searching for. The investigation revealed that there was a perceived threat with what the victim believed to be a firearm at the time. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

“He was identified as 32 year-old Patrick Gladue of Missoula,” he said “He will be arraigned in Missoula Justice Court on Monday afternoon.”

According to the Missoula County Jail roster, Gladue was initially charged with felony assault with a weapon, and misdemeanor partner or family member assault, as well as two extra-jurisdictional warrants totaling $35,000.
