Name of Avalanche Victim Released [Update]
The avalanche victim whose body was found near Fish Creek Road yesterday was revealed today to be Mr. Mark Albee (age 42) of Bigfork. Earlier story here. Albee's body was retrieved from beneath piles of snow and it appears that the avalanche led to his death. KGVO News spoke with Flathead County Sheriff, Chuck Curry shortly after the body was found, here's what he had to say.
The body was uncovered near Jewel Basin Road. Everyone should keep in mind that avalanche conditions in the Bigfork area are still very dangerous and that even the rescue crews had to take safety precautions while leaving the area.
