Senator Max Baucus wants Montanans hurt by the ExxonMobil oil spill on the Yellowstone River to be repaid.  In a letter to the Exxon Chairman and CEO Rex Tillerson, Baucus pressed the oil company for answers to the cleanup and the cause of the pipeline burst.

Baucus says “I’m calling on ExxonMobil to answer some tough questions so we can find out how this accident happened and what needs to be done to make sure something like this never happens again.” The 12 inch pipeline ruptured Friday upstream from a Billings refinery, leaking over 1,000 barrels of crude oil into the river. Governor Brian Schweitzer toured the site yesterday.
