The Missoula Fire Department scheduled a controlled burn for today of a house and garage at 1840 S. 11th St. W. That burn now has been postponed until Friday. The purpose of the burn is for training and during the exercise the entire block will be closed to traffic as well as the intersection of S. 10th St. W. and Garfield and S. 11th St. W. and Grant.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says it will release massive amounts of water from the Fort Peck dam Tuesday.
The Corps originally planned to release a record 50,000 cubic feet per second of water from the dam mid-June. The increased water flow into the Missouri River is already causing flooding in residential areas downstream.
