Authorities say a man suspected of robbing a US Bank branch in Great Falls has been arrested in Butte.

Great Fall Police Sgt. Dean Bennett says authorities recognized 40-year-old Michael Ottis Jennings from security footage and, "because of previous dealings" with the man, believed he might be headed to the Butte area.

They forwarded the man's information to Butte authorities, and Jennings was arrested just after 8 p.m. Tuesday on charges of burglary and felony theft.

He is suspected of entering the Great Falls bank just before noon Tuesday and demanding cash from a teller.

Police did not say how much money was taken.
