Arrest After Death Threats, Knife Used in Fight Over Text Message
Missoula Police arrested 23-year-old Troy Flatt on Sunday afternoon, June 10, after neighbors reported hearing a couple fighting at a home on First Street.
The fight apparently broke out over an argument about a text message, which got so heated that death threats and a weapon were involved
"Officers spoke to a 25-year-old female who indicated that there had been a heated argument that seemingly began because she wouldn't send a text on a phone and and it escalated to the point where he had actually grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened her and stated that he was going to kill her," said Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh.
Flatt is facing a felony charge for the knife threat. The child that was in the residence during the fight was seven months old.
