‘Supercommittee’ Fails To Meet Deadline

Today (11-21-11), the Co-Chairs of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction, Representative Jeb Hensarling and Senator Patty Murray announced  that it will not be possible to make any bipartisan agreement available to the public before the committee’s deadline. Senator Max Baucus says Montanans and all Americans deserve better.

Baucus says that while the Joint Select Committee could not come up with a deficit  reduction plan, he is  not done working and will keep fighting for a solution that works for Montana.
