A Courtroom Full of Lawyers, a Sidewalk Full of Protesters, and Once Again, It’s All About Wolves
The issue of wolves brought 30 to 40 people with signs and posters to the front of the Federal Courthouse today to let U. S. District Judge Donald Molloy know just how they felt about restoring control of the predators to Montana and Idaho, after delisting them from the Federal Endangered Special Act. I spoke with Toby Bridges with a group called Lobo Watch, who told me that to a man…every protester was of one mind…to control the predators so that viable populations of game animals would return to traditional hunting areas.
I asked the crowd if there were any ‘pro-wolf’ demonstrators, and one man intimated that with Judge Molloy in their pocket, the pro-wolf lobby was already well
represented behind the bench.
