$50,000 Bond for Man Accused of Sexual Assault of a Minor
45 year-old Jeffrey Crocker was charged in Missoula District Court on Tuesday with felony sexual assault of a minor.
Deputy Missoula County Attorney Ryan Mickelson said Crocker was arrested on July 24.
“Jeffrey Crocker is charged with sexual assault involving a minor and that’s a felony punishable by not less that four or no more than 100 years in the Montana State Prison,” said Mickelson. It is alleged that he had a four year-old child in his care and he made her touch his penis. He told her the assault was a secret and that she would be punished if she told anyone, however, she subsequently did tell her grandmother and an investigation was taken from there.”
Mickelson said Crocker later met with law enforcement officials regarding the alleged incident.
“He later made admissions to law enforcement that the four year-old child did touch him, but that the child did it while he was in his bed while he was sleeping and it was not something that he brought on,” he said.
Mickelson said he asked the court for $50,000 bond.
Jail records show that Crocker bonded out of jail on July 27 and appeared in District Court at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
