Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 10, 2023, a Missoula Police Department Officer was advised by dispatch that a Missoula County Detective was requesting a City Officer to assist in arresting a male they were with who had a warrant. When the officer arrived on scene, he saw that the FBI Violent Crime Task Force had two males detained in handcuffs.

One of the males was identified as 30-year-old Forest Berry. An Adult Probation Officer and FBI Task Force Officer told the MPD officer that they had observed Berry in the area of Cedar Street. They approached Berry and took him into custody because he had a warrant for his arrest.

The probation officer conducted a search of Berry's belongings and the items in his pockets. He located some tin foil that had burnt pill residue on it that was folded in his pocket. Inside of the tin foil, there were 6 pills that were labeled M 30. The officer knows from his training and experience that these pills are Fentanyl.
