Though the United States is undoubtedly working furiously to broker a deal between the Palestinians and Israelis, nearly all of those efforts have happened behind closed doors. The long silence from the Obama administration has left many scratching their heads in wonder as to why.

At the United Nations, the U.S. has stymied any action by the security council and now Russia is complaining about America's silence on the ongoing war.

White House reporters have heard nothing but non-statements from the administration throughout the conflict. It now appears that the U.S. is incapable of labeling any act by any country an act of terror (see video above).

For many in the U.S., the current status of silence seems to echo the Administration's reluctance to label the Libya embassy attacks as an act of terror. The memory of the second presidential debate is still fresh in the public's mind. "First of all, Israel is a true friend. It is our greatest ally in the region." Claimed President Obama at the debate, "And if Israel is attacked, America will stand with Israel. I've made that clear throughout my presidency."

Well, the attack has happened. If America is standing with anyone, it's doing so with it's mouth shut.
