Tester schedules 10 Flood Outreach Meetings across Montana
State and federal agencies will join Senator Tester's representatives in flooded communities.Senator Jon Tester has directed his Montana staff to schedule 10 Flood Outreach Meetings for Montanans impacted by severe flooding across the state.
Tester’s representatives will host the two-hour information sessions throughout Montana in early July. The sessions are designed to connect residents affected by flooding to resources available from state and federal agencies.
Tester is inviting to each meeting representatives from USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Rural Development and Risk Management Agency, the Montana Department of Revenue, the Montana Disaster Emergency Services Division, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Red Cross, local Food Banks, the Human Resource and local Councils on Aging.
The ten public meetings will be similar to an information session Tester organized in mid-June, when he provided information to Billings-area farmers and ranchers affected by flooding.
