Many Missoulians and folks residing in western Montana are thanking Mother Nature this morning for some much needed precipitation. The rain and wind led to clear skies, greeting residents with fresh air and a little less smoke.
UPDATE - (10:45 p.m.) Residents on Old Town Road were given a preliminary evacuation advisory notice from the Broadwater Sheriff's Department due to the significant fire growth to the southeast Saturday, according to fire managers.
The Reynolds Creek Fire in Glacier National Park is 67 percent contained, the Associated Press reports, but certain weather conditions this week aren't looking to decrease the flames with upcoming warm temperatures and low humidity.

Fire Information Officer for Lolo National Forest Boyd Hartwig told KGVO News that a new fire was spotted Thursday afternoon on the Missoula Ranger District.
The Reynolds Creek Fire is now over 1,000 acres on the east side of Glacier National Park. Another fire near Townsend is causing evacuations and closing roads in the area.
