Science Brings Brazil and UM Together

Brazil's "Science Without Borders" project will send 11 Brazilian undergrads to Missoula this spring. The program is designed to help Brazil develop in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics through international study. Because of the program's focus, the new students are likely to take classes at Montana Tech, the College of Forestry and Conservation, and the Universty of Montana's highly rated Skaggs School of Pharmacy.

Adventures Of The Mind Brings Students-Nobel Prize Winners To Missoula

Expect the state’s collective IQ to jump several points June 23-26 during the Adventures of the Mind achievement mentoring summit at The University of Montana. Using the theme “Under the Big Sky,” Adventures of the Mind will give a fascinating array of high achievers the chance to mentor more than 170 of the nation’s most promising high school students from nearly every state. I spoke with the Dean of the University of Montana Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Dean on Thursday afternoon about the five-day event.
