Citing recording-breaking dry conditions, the Ravalli County Commission voted 3-2 to ban any ignition of fireworks in the county, starting at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 3.
Over the March 21 weekend, there were eight DUI arrests in Ravalli County. Eight in a weekend is a higher rate than normal, but overall, the county is seeing a spike in DUI this year.
UPDATE: According to the Hamilton Police Department, the suspect involved in a standoff with police most of the day Saturday surrendered peacefully early Sunday morning.
