A fire broke out at 750 snow bowl road today at around 11:30 a.m. the Missoula Rural Fire District and the Missoula City Firefighters fought against the blaze in a joint effort that managed to preserve at least the east half of the building. According to Assistant Fire Chief Brent Christopherson, the homeowners possessed insurance and the blaze did not destroy everything inside the home. No one was killed or injured in the incident and although there were fears that the family dog was trapped inside that proved not to be the case. The Missoula Rural Fire district Investigation Team is working on trying to discern what started the fire. From the published reports, it appears that the heavy snowfall prevented fire crews from making to the residnance as fast as they would have liked.
