Saturday Motorcycle – Mountain LIne Bus Crash Leaves Washington State Man Dead in Missoula [AUDIO]
A motorcycle-bus accident on Saturday afternoon on Missoula's north side resulted in the death of the motorcyclist, identified by the Missoula County Sheriff's Department as Paul Lawrence Harrison, 49, with a Washington State drivers license, who listed his address as the Poverello Center. .
Sergeant Jerry Odlin with the Missoula Police Department said officers were called out a little after noon on Saturday.
"The operator of the motorcycle was a 49 year-old homeless male who was traveling northbound on Cowper, and collided with the Mountain Line bus which was traveling westbound on Phillips," Odlin said. "The motorcyclist was transported to St. Patrick Hospital, and was pronounced dead a short time later."
Odlin said the collision had enough force to cause at least one injury on the bus.
"There were approximately five passengers on the bus," he said, "and one passenger was treated for minor injuries."
Odlin said the investigation into the crash continues, and anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the accident, to contact the Missoula Police Department or Missoula Crimestoppers at 721-44-44.
