Help Stop Child Sex Abuse in Montana

Before American children reach the age of 18 one out of every four girls and one out of every six boys will be the victims of sexual assault. Montana is no exception to the problem of child sex abuse, in 2009 and 2010 local child advocacy centers helped over a thousand children. The saddest part of the story is that many cases are never brought to light, and that only 30% of assaults are reported to police. Learning how to detect the signs of sexual abuse and knowing the proper route for response is a fundamental skill. If you want to learn how to protect your children or the children who may be in your care, the UM School of Social Work along with the Montana Children’s Trust Fund, and the Montana Child Sexual Abuse Response Team (MCSART), are sponsoring a "Stop it Now" seminar in Missoula.
