Obama and Romney Tell Jokes, Get Laughs
On October 18, President Obama and challenger Mitt Romney poked fun at themselves and each other in an attempt to add levity to the campaign and raise money for the Alfred E. Smith foundation.
Romney managed to bring Big Bird back to the forefront, even mentioning that Obama’s speech was “brought by the letter O and the number 16 trillion.”
Obama earned big laughs when he spoke about his demeanor during the debates, “I did better in the second debate because I was well rested from the nap I had during the first debate.
