The Western Climate Initiative is a collaboration of independent jurisdictions working together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, caused by global warming, at a regional level. New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Montana and Utah are no longer participating in the initiative. This leaves  California and four Canadian provinces as the remaining members of the regional greenhouse gas reduction organization. Montana State Director  for Americans for Prosperity, Scott Sales applauds montana’s withdrawal.

Sales says the initiative is a cap-and-trade system which puts a cap on overall green house gas emissions and establishes a market to buy and sell permits.(The entire interview is attached below)
