Heavy rains are expected to continue through Saturday, leading to a flood watch being issued for western Montana by the National Weather Service.

Meteorologist Genki Kino said heavy rains are expected, with thunderstorms causing possible flash-flood problems in areas affected by recent fires.

Several Idaho and Montana counties are under the flood watch, including Missoula and Ravalli Counties.

Kino said Missoula could receive up to an inch of rain in the next 24 hours.
