Just before midnight yesterday, April 30, Missoula City Firefighters were called out to a storage shed fire an 2310 Cottage Court.

Smoke and flames were coming from the shed, which could have quickly gotten much worse as the shed was attached to a two-story apartment building. After quickly knocking down the flames in the shed, firefighters realized that the fire and smoke had pushed up into the attic and that to full douse the fire, the roof would have to be opened up.

In the end, there were no injuries, but the fire did cause an estimated $45,000 in damages. The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation.
