The Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police are searching for a missing woman, identified as Mary Jean Decker, 52, of St. Ignatius.

Tribal police Chief Craig Couture said Monday, that the last time anyone had seen Ms. Decker was on Sunday, June 16.

"At about 6:00 a.m. someone found her vehicle just parked on the side of the road with the flashers on, and she was nowhere around," Couture said. "None of the family had seen her since then."

Couture said everything possible is being done to find Ms, Decker.

"She's been entered into a national data base, and throughout the area we've notified hospitals, and other law enforcement agencies," Couture said. "In these situations, when someone does come up missing like this, we take it seriously and we're getting the information out to as many people as possible. We've had lots of phone calls so far, and one of my detectives is out investigating a lead right now."

Ms. Decker is described as 5'10" tall, weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call the tribal police at 406-675-4700.
