The House has approved Senate amendments to a controversial bill that would criminalize killing a fetus. The bill has been through multiple committee and floor debates since the very beginning of the 62nd session. Supporters say the legislation is aimed at violent attacks on pregnant women, and does not apply to abortions. Opponents fear it would infringe on a woman's right to choose. Bill Sponsor Keith Regier says the amendment changes language making it even clearer that the bill excludes abortion.
