S. Idaho Man Shot By Officer Remains In Hospital
A southern Idaho man who was shot by a police officer last week in Payette County remains hospitalized. 37-year-old Jamee Lee Wade was listed in critical condition Tuesday at a Boise hospital.
Gun Fires From Girl’s Purse -Starbucks
Police say nobody was hurt when a small gun that was inside a girl's purse fired while she was in a Cheyenne Starbucks. The bullet went through a chair and into a wall and narrowly missed several customers. Police say the mishap occurred while officers were at the coffee shop around 7 a.m. Monday.
Wolf Hunting To Close In NW MT As Quota Reached
Wildlife officials say wolf hunting will close in portions of northwest Montana on Thursday after hunters filled the harvest quota for the area. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokesman Tom Palmer said hunters filled the 19-wolf quota for a wildlife management area that includes portions of Lincoln and Flathead counties.

Miles City police say a man shot himself in the ankle after his request for painkillers for his back was denied. Police Chief Doug Colombik says the 48-year-old man left Holy Rosary Healthcare hospital upset Monday night after he asked for the painkillers.

Winter Triathlon Championship Moved To Montana
USA Triathlon has moved its 2012 Winter Triathlon National Championship from Vermont to Montana because of a lack of snow in the Northeast.The championship will be shifted to the Powder Hound Winter Triathlon on Jan. 29 at Homestake Lodge southeast of Butte.
