The Zootown All-Stars defeated Michigan 10-0 in the championship game of the Senior Softball Little League World Series Saturday afternoon in Delaware.

It was an all around solid performance offensively and defensively for Montana. The Zootown squad scored three runs in the first inning to take an early lead over Michigan. The Zootown All-Stars were quiet for the next two innings but then their bats came back to life. In the fourth inning pitcher Macey Newbary hit a three run homer over the wall in center field to give Montana a 6-0 lead. Then in the fifth inning Zootown scored three more runs including a two run home run from Taylor Holmes. Montana added one more run in the sixth inning and held Michigan scoreless to record the victory 10-0 in six innings due to the mercy rule.

Newbary was also solid in the circle. The Missoula Big Sky senior pitched all six innings while striking out nine batters and not allowing a single run. Newbary also had a no-hitter going in the bottom of the sixth but it was broken up with two outs however was able to force the final out to allow only one hit.
