As Yellowstone National Park prepares for a busy Memorial Day Weekend, Park spokeswoman Traci Weaver has bad news for those hoping to hike down the Brink of the Lower Falls trail. A rock and mudslide have rendered the popular trail impassible.

"We don't expect to have it cleared for the weekend, primarily because the ground is still very unstable. and we are still getting periodic rain that is not allowing the soil to dry," Weaver said. "There is a boulder that is nearly 7 feet tall and nearly 8 feet long that pretty much blocks the whole trail."

In good news, Weaver says that a young girl who was gored by a bison last weekend, and a man that fell into the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone on May 10, are both back home and on the road to a full recovery.
