At around 10:30 on Wednesday, a female tried to provide a fictitious urine sample at the pretrial supervision office in the 2300 block of Mullan Road. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“The officers soon learned that the suspect had gotten a sample from an unrelated person and tried to pass that off as her own,” Welsh said. “The person was identified as 23-year-old Amy Finsaas. She has been transported to the Missoula County Jail and is being held on a felony charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.”

Finsaas was asked to provide a urine sample for a drug test. According to court documents, Finsaas brought a bottle that she admitted contained a friend’s urine. Finsaas told law enforcement that she had used heroin and did not think she would pass the drug test.
