The former bookkeeper and office manager of Hospice of Missoula has been charged with embezzling over $171,000 from the organization over a four-year period. Sandra Lea Morrison of Missoula turned herself in to authorities after a warrant for her arrest was issued by the Missoula County Attorney’s Office. She appeared in Justice Court Friday afternoon and was released without bail pending her next court appearance. Morrison has been charged with four felony counts of theft by embezzlement. I spoke with Missoula Deputy County Attorney Shaun Donovan about the charges and possible penalties involved. That interview is attached.

Ms. Morrison will appear in District Court to hear the felony charges against her sometime in December.
