Despite weather that has been more like spring than winter in February, Montana ski shops and ski areas report the season is still humming along just fine.

Bozeman area ski shops and hills are expecting a busy Presidents Day holiday weekend.

Bridger Bowl marketing director Doug Wales says the warm weather, in fact, has been helping keep the season alive in lieu of big powder days.

Round House Ski and Sports Center manager Michell Potts tells the Bozeman Daily Chronicle everyone likes spring skiing conditions.

And even with the warm weather, Montana areas are leaps and bounds ahead of West Coast ski areas where drought and rain have caused some ski areas to close.
