Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are searching for someone involved in a deer poaching that occurred at the Western Montana Fish and Game Association's Deer Creek Shooting Center in East Missoula.

According to FWP spokeswoman Vivica Crowser, a white tail buck was shot "several times" with a pistol. FWP Game Warden Kyle Miller says the poaching took place on range 50B between the late evening hours of Saturday Aug. 18 and the early morning of Sunday, Aug. 19.

The deer was left at the scene and game wardens are asking for the public's help in solving the case. Poaching tips should be directed to 1800 847-6668 or contact warden Miller at 406 240-3140.

Callers could be eligible for a $1,000.00 reward.
